Exciting: The University of Ciincinnati  is visiting Basic Trust on a weekly basis as a part of their Children's Cognitive Research Lab!!  They will provide PLAY activities for our children while obtaining valuable research on the importance of "PLAY" in children!

Our facility boasts a 17 acre play area that includes a water slide, pirate ship, bike path and more! Children also can pet bunnies and lambs from time to time! We TRULY are a "GREEN" Center!

We offer School Age programs throughout the county, in all schools.  Look for us under the name of The Children's Collaborative!

 Summer 2010 School Age Theme was...."The Spirit of Adventure"  Unlocking the Hidden Treasures of Summer!  Offering good old fashioned summer fun!  Plus parents had the opportunity to add skill building classes in the area of Reading, Math!   This summer you could choose your path to adventure:   Base Camp was for grades K-5 and included all the traditional summer activities:  Water play with water slides, hoses, slip and slides, squirt guns and trips to the pool!  We played in creeks, built camps in our 18acre woods, biked, enjoyed "girl only clubs and boy only clubs," started our day in fitness camp, hiked, scavenger hunted, and enjoyed field trips off site as well!   Skill Builders Camp  allowed you to add the tutoring segment of our program.  Built around your campers busy summer fun here at Basic Trust, we will work in some one on one or small group tutoring in Math and Reading!    *BRAND NEW THIS SUMMER....."Down the Middle" Camp:  was for those students entering 5th grade and going into 8th!  This camp was held two days per week and included all the opporutnities above plus..."Hang Time" which is supervised or guided free choice time with peers,  "A Hand UP"..where we went into the community and lent a hand while learning new skills. and our campers learned how to stay home alone safely, as well as CPR, First Aide, money skills and MORE!      Every two weeks a new theme began, with a "treasure map and hunt" to find the missing treasure trunk.  Once found and opened,  a new summer theme and all it's fun and adventure begain! It was a GREAT summer!

Did somebody say "Bear Hunt!"   

Summer is one of the things we do really well up here. Summer takes place on 13 acres of wooded playgrounds.  Our children, ages infant through 6th grade...enjoy these grounds.  Each divided area provides a unique opportunity for play and for imaginations to soar.  Pirate ships, a sand and water castle complete with moat, a fort surrounded by a bike trail and best of all...lots of woods for building "camps."

 

 

Basic Trust provides quality , developmentally appropriate educational programs for age groups between 6weeks and fifth grade. Our owners and staff have been providing excellent programs since 1980!   We work very hard to  not only provide appropriate educational experiences but to provide a warm and loving atmosphere in which to learn.
