The University of Ciincinnati will be visiting Basic Trust on a weekly basis as a part of their Children's Cognitive Research Lab!! They will provide PLAY activities for our children while obtaining valuable research on the importance of "PLAY" in children!

Our facility boasts a 17 acre play area that includes a water slide, pirate ship, bike path and more! Children also can pet bunnies and lambs from time to time! We TRULY are a "GREEN" Center!

Summer is one of the things we do really well up here. Summer takes place on 13 acres of wooded playgrounds. Our children, ages infant through 6th grade...enjoy these grounds. Each divided area provides a unique opportunity for play and for imaginations to soar. Pirate ships, a sand and water castle complete with moat, a fort surrounded by a bike trail and best of all...lots of woods for building "camps."
Welcome to "The Campers Kitchen!"
Our smorgesboard of this past Summers fun!!
In the CAMPERS KITCHEN; campers were the Chef and they choose the fun! Fun that fits their schedule and tickled the taste buds of every child! The smorgesboard offered, daily, weekly and all summer care. Your child could choose from a variety of activities that would, by the end of the summer, make them an all time "Career Champ." By week 10 they would have been introduced to 10 different delectable careers through fun and creative activities. Week 1 wass Business Camp & they set up and ran their own businesses...as well as worked with local business professionals. Week 2 was our Behind the Scenes Camp...and they traveled the community, going behind the scenes of some pretty exciting places! They discovered WHO and what made these places run. Week 3 was Science Camp....Our Smiles to Reptiles camp! This Botony Camp included A Zoo Scavenger Hunt, Amimal Care 101, meeting and learning about an Animal Proection officer, and discovered on site what is living over us, around us and beneath our feet! Week 4 Brought Art Camp...An Artist Canvas of fun! Through the help of local artist we learned sculpting, cartooning, watercolor, drawing and chose a visit to the Cincinnati Art Museum! Week 5 Survival Camp...R U up for the challenge"?" We met local firefighters and police officers to take some training challenges and learn what keeps us fit! We learned all sorts of survial techniques and had some messy fun in the process. Week 6 Cooking Up Fun...everything food! We cooked up some tasty fun while meeting with local Bakers and Chefs to make A wedding Cake, cook up a 5 course meal, have a cupcake decorating contest and more! Week 7 Here comes the "Buttercream Gang"....this was our OutReach Camp. Friends joined arm in arm to reachout to people in need, throughout the community and beyond! Meet area ministers and take part in our on-site BibleSchool! Week 8 was great...it was TECHNO Camp...for all the techies! Learn to play new Wii games, challenge your friends to a Nintendo game and even play some old standards like Chess, don't worry we won't forget the old standards like "board games"! Week 9...watch out, here comes those pesky "PhotoBugs....our photography camp! We Built our own portfolio of pictures we took on and off site! Nature shots, people shots, pet shots...gain some basic photography skills along with your photobuggy friends. Finally...Week 10 was one your child didn't want to miss....It's Thrill Seekers Camp...it's Extreme Game Week! This was the week of ALL weeks. They joined a team, choose a team color & name and took part in some of the wettest, muddiest and most creative fild games ever! No matter how you tossed it.....it was the MOST fun!
Brain Camp is Tutoring, that is made available for those who could benefit from a little brush up work, or a foot up for the coming school year. Summer packets ARE available for viewing and registration begins April 10 with an ALL new and exciting theme...."caution", we do limit enrollment on this program, so call ASAP for information!
